How much water should I be drinking a day?

I always thought I drank plenty of water. However, a trip to the ER, diagnosis, kidney stones, clearly showed I was not drinking enough water! My blood results reflected a state of dehydration. Surprise! Recommendation was very simple, drink more water. We should drink half our body weight in ounces each day.  So I would like to share with you the benefits of drinking more water.
